We are grateful for any assistance with funding to help us with our project and welcome individual donations. Membership of the Friends costs £1 per year (2011).
There is also a pledge scheme available. As a charity we are able to claim Gift Aid for individual donations from UK taxpayers.
By joining the Friends you can become involved in fundraising and, should you wish, help in the practical side of maintaining the churchyard.
The Friends are a friendly group and as most have relations interred in the churchyard, they are keen to see the dignity of the graves restored and thus proper respect shown for their ancestors. Many members are no longer resident locally and membership is open to all who support the Friends' aims. It is not restricted to members of St. John's parish or to those who are of other denominations.
